Medical Missionaries is a volunteer group of more than 200 doctors, nurses, dentists, and others who work to improve the health of the poorest of the poor throughout the world. Medical Missionaries sends medical care and supplies, clothing and food to the areas it serves. In recent years, Medical Missionaries has helped victims of the tsunami in Sri Lanka and hurricane Katrina in the U.S. We have equipped and maintain an emergency trailer to serve the greater Washington, DC area, providing back-up to disaster response teams and supplies in the event of a major disaster.
