Printed or Hand Written Tags

We are no longer accepting hand written tags.  We are switching over to Point of Sale Transactions and cannot use the hand written tags.  If you have any questions please contact shannoncmc@jbfsale.com.

What to Sell

Fall/Winter childrens' and juniors' size clothing will be accepted for this sale.  Maternity clothes can be all season.  Please inspect them at home.  We will inspect them at drop off.  Clothes that are soiled, stained or with holes will not be accepted.  JBF reserves the right to deny any items.  We accept Girls sizes Premie through Junior and Boys sizes premie through size 20.  NO ADULT CLOTHING will be accepted, except maternity items.

 Pricing

YOU SET THE PRICE!  JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS suggests starting at 1/3 of the original price. We also suggest that you let your clothing items be included in the half price sale. Mark the starting price up so you are pleased with the price if it sells at half price.  It is your decision if you want your items to participate in the half price sale. Price your items in $1.00 or .50 cent increments. No $0.99, $0.75, or $0.25 please.

$3.00 Rule   If a single item is not appropriate for a $3.00 tag on it's own, please pair it with something that will bring it to this amount.  Group t-shirts together on one hanger, wrap up a group of books, put a bunch of small toys in a bag and price at $3.00.

  • Use safety pins or a tagging gun to attach your tags. No straight pins or staples.
  • Attach safety pin sideways - horizontally, on the card.
  • Pin clothing sets securely together with pants pinned at the waist on the hanger, so both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them.
  • PLEASE do not use two hangers rubberbanded together for one sale item.

Use your best judgment, and price your items higher or lower where you see fit.

Spending a little extra time getting your items ready will mean more money $$$ for you. Items that are clean, ironed, with all pieces attached, sell much better!!

Simple Barcoded Tag Instructions

 barcoded_tag.jpg

1. Log on to www.myjbftags.com
2. Create an account (make sure you choose Sacramento, CA as your sale location)
3. Click on help/demos on the left for instructions.
4. Enter your tags.
5. Print your tags (print on white cardstock or 67lb or heavier paper)
6. Track your sales online. Print a sales report for your records.
7. After the sale, remember to delete your SOLD items and your DONATED items.

If tagging multi-piece items using barcoded tags please follow this procedure:

Print ONE bar-coded tag with the price and all the information.  On that ONE barcoded tag in the description, you'll put 1 of X (with X being the total number of pieces in the multi-piece set).

HAND WRITE the additional tags for your set (on 3x5 index cards).  2 of X, 3 of X etc.  ONLY THE FIRST tag (the one with the barcode) as a price on it.  The remaining tags to the set only have a description, your consignor number and 2 of x, 3 of x etc.  No prices go on the second or third tags.

This applies to NON-CLOTHING items only.  For clothes, you'll just pin them together on the hanger and won't need to make multiple tags.
