please follow these guidelines for preparing your sale items

If you are barcoding, please use white or light-colored cardstock. Please do not use bright yellow.

JBF will still accept typed or handwritten tags.

For your convenience and ours, we request that you properly label all consignment items with a full 3 x 5 index card ONLY. Please, follow the instructions to avoid any confusion, nothing smaller or larger.

Your tag should look like the example to the right. It's just that easy.

NOTE! AT DROP-OFF INSPECTION, ANY INCONSISTENCIES WILL HAVE TO BE RE-DONE BY YOU.

Please pay careful attention to your consignor number. Be sure not to transpose your numbers. We will not accept any items that have crossouts or scribbles on the tags. If you need to change something on a tag after you have it on the item, you must make a brand new tag for that item.

Please follow these instructions EXACTLY. Refer to illustrations on this page. Items must be prepared as indicated by tagging instructions.

NOTE: Consignors bringing items requiring batteries without working batteries will be charged $1 for each battery that JBF must put in the item in order to sell it. Deductions will be made from consignor checks.

USE ONLY 3 X 5 CARDS. NO OTHER SIZE WILL BE ACCEPTED
Write a "D" (Donate) in the bottom of your tag if you want an item to be donated at the end of the sale should it not sell. Leave it blank if it will be picked up.
Red star in upper right corner of tag if you DO NOT want the item discounted. Red star tells the customer that the item is full price.

Only Fall and Winter children's, juniors sizes, and maternity clothing will be accepted for this sale. Please inspect your items carefully at home-we will also inspect them at drop off. Clothes that are soiled, stained, or with holes, will not be accepted. Just Between Friends reserves the right to deny any unacceptable items. We accept Girls sizes preemie thru Juniors. Boys sizes preemie thru size 20. No Adult clothing accepted except maternity.

PRICING, you set the price! Price to sell keeping in mind the quality, name brand, and condition of your items. JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS suggests starting at 1/3 of the original price. We also suggest that you let your clothing items be included in the half price sale. Mark the starting price up if it is something that you are sentimental about, but of course, it is your decision if it is half price or not. Price your items in $1.00 or .50 cent increments. No .99 please.

$3.00 Rule if your single, hanging clothing item can't bring $3.00 on it's own, please pair it with something that will bring it to this amount. This only applies to clothing, not toys/equipment. JUST BETWEEN FRIENDS will be conducting strict inspection of your items. Unacceptable items will be returned to you.

Pinning

Use only one inch or larger safety pins to attach tag. No straight pins.
Attach safety pin up and down, vertically on the card.
Pin clothing sets securely together with pants hung on the backside of the shirt and pinned at the waist on the hanger. Both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them. Pants hung on a separate hanger tend to come off the hanger and then get separated from the top.
