Kids grow fast, and keeping up with their changing sizes, interests, and needs can feel like a never-ending expense. Here in San Diego, I help families sell the clothes, toys, and gear their children have outgrown so they can save money on what comes next.
I’m Mandi Milburn, a mom of three and the owner of Just Between Friends San Diego, Fresno, and Visalia.
When my children were little, I remember looking at closets full of clothes they had barely worn and shelves packed with toys they no longer played with. At the same time, I was shopping for the next size up and the next stage of gear. It felt like we were constantly spending money while perfectly good items sat unused in our home.
Then I discovered Just Between Friends. For the first time, I found a simple way to clear out the clutter, earn money from the things my family no longer needed, and save on quality brands for the next season of life.
Today, I help local families do the same. Our events bring thousands of families together to buy, sell, and save in one place, making it easier to keep up with growing kids without overspending.
For me, JBF is about more than saving money. It’s about creating space at home, putting money back in your pocket, and helping families feel confident saying yes to what their children need.

Meet the Need provides clothing, toys, household essentials, and other everyday items to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances throughout San Diego. Thanks to generous donations from our JBF community, these items are given to those who need them most, bringing practical support and hope to families in our own community.
Every donated item helps make a difference, turning things your family has outgrown into a blessing for another family.
When you choose to donate your unsold items at the end of the sale, you're helping support the work of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.
Donated clothing and household items help fund The Salvation Army's no-cost rehabilitation program, which provides adults with the opportunity to rebuild their lives through recovery, job skills, and supportive services.
Your donation gives your items a second life while helping provide hope and practical support to people working toward a fresh start.
