About JBF

Lakeland

Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of helping families across Lakeland save money, earn extra income, and give children’s items a second life through JBF Lakeland. What started as a way to connect local families has grown into a community-centered event built on the belief that everyone benefits when we support one another.

I understand firsthand how quickly children’s needs change and how important it is for families to have access to affordable, quality items. That’s why I’m passionate about creating an event that not only helps parents stretch their budges but also gives families the opportunity to turn their kids’ clutter into cash. Every sale helps put money back into local families’ pockets while promoting sustainability by keeping gently loved items in circulation.

More than just a consignment sale, this event is a place where neighbors help neighbors, families save and earn, and our community grows stronger together. After more than a decade, I’m grateful to continue serving Lakeland and surrounding areas by creating opportunities for families to shop smarter, earn extra income, support local charities, and make a meaningful impact right here at home.

Giving back to our community has always been at the heart of our purpose. We're proud to support a local organization that serves foster families throughout Polk County by operating the Care Closet filled with essential items for children in foster care.

Trough the generosity of our consignors, Just Between Friends of Lakeland helps keep the Care Closet stocked with clothing, shoes, baby gear, toys, books, and other everyday essentials. When a child is placed in a foster home - often with little more than the clothes they're wearing - foster families can shop the Care Closet at no cost to find the items they need for their ever-changing families.

Every item donated through our event helps provide comfort, dignity, and practical support to children during times of transition. Together, we're making a meaningful difference for foster families right here in our community, one child at a time.

Is it free to get in and open to the public?

Yes, we are open to the public. General admission is $3 on our public sale days, but you can get a free ticket online.

How can I shop early?

The Presale gives shoppers the opportunity to shop before we open to the public. Free presale tickets are given to our sellers, team members, expecting parents, and hometown heroes (teachers, first responders, adoptive/foster & military families). If you work or sell with us, you get to bring a guest with you to the presale!

Can I shop early even if i’m not one of those people mentioned above?

Yes! We have Platinum, Gold, and Prime Time tickets so that you can shop before we open to the public. Experienced JBF shoppers will tell you it’s 100% worth the ticket price to shop early, which means you get the best selection and the best deals!

How often does this sale happen?

The sale only happens 2-3 times a year. You can’t afford to miss it!

What kinds of items will be at the sale?

Anything for kids & baby! Clothing & shoes sizes newborn to teen and maternity. Baby gear (strollers, car seats, swings, highchairs, bouncers – you name it!), nursery furniture, indoor & outdoor toys, books, games, feeding & bathing items, bedding, room decor, sports equipment, electronics, costumes and so much more at prices up to 50-90% off retail!

Do I need a ticket to shop?

JBF is not your everyday shopping trip. It's your once-a-season chance to stock up on everything your growing kids need for the next six months. Shopping early gets you access to the best selection!

Admission is free and no ticket is required when we are open to the public. Even parking is free for JBF guests! The only time you need a ticket is to attend the Thursday presale or the Saturday night half price presale.

How can I shop earlier?

Get in on our Early Access shopping days by purchasing a ticket. Or, become a Seller or Team Member to shop first!

What can I buy?

Shoppers stock up on everything their growing kids need at our twice-a-year events. Find great deals on children’s clothing, shoes, gear (strollers, car seats, swings, highchairs, bouncers - you name it!), kids furniture, indoor & outdoor toys, books, games, feeding & bathing items, bedding, room decor, sports equipment, electronics, costumes and so much more at prices up to 50-90% off retail!

Can I sell my kid stuff?

Yes! JBF is the BEST way to turn kid clutter into cash - hundreds of shoppers see your items all at once (way better than selling one piece at a time)! You earn 60% on your sold items, you choose prices, and you price & prep your items and just drop them off. Learn more by logging in!
