Here in Aurora, CO, I help families deal with the constant cycle of kids outgrowing clothes, toys, and gear- without overspending or letting all that value go to waste. I’m Shannan Hays, and I run the local Just Between Friends event three times a year.

Like so many parents, I have felt overwhelmed by how quickly everything was outgrown and how much money was tied up in items we barely used; bags of outgrown stuff piling up, constantly buying the next size, and feeling like we were wasting money no matter what we did. Finding a better way to buy and sell my son’s items completely changed how we handled all this in my own home.

Now, I help families do the same. You can clear out what’s outgrown, make money back on it, and then shop for everything that comes next- all in one place, in an organized, community-driven event.

At the end of the day, it’s about less clutter, more money back in your pocket, and feeling good about saying yes to what your kids need.

Is it free to get in and open to the public?

Yes, we are open to the public. General admission is $3 on our public sale days, but you can get a free ticket online.

How can I shop early?

The Presale gives shoppers the opportunity to shop before we open to the public. Free presale tickets are given to our sellers, team members, expecting parents, and hometown heroes (teachers, first responders, adoptive/foster & military families). If you work or sell with us, you get to bring a guest with you to the presale!

Can I shop early even if i’m not one of those people mentioned above?

Yes! We have Platinum, Gold, and Prime Time tickets so that you can shop before we open to the public. Experienced JBF shoppers will tell you it’s 100% worth the ticket price to shop early, which means you get the best selection and the best deals!

How often does this sale happen?

The sale only happens 2-3 times a year. You can’t afford to miss it!

What kinds of items will be at the sale?

Anything for kids & baby! Clothing & shoes sizes newborn to teen and maternity. Baby gear (strollers, car seats, swings, highchairs, bouncers – you name it!), nursery furniture, indoor & outdoor toys, books, games, feeding & bathing items, bedding, room decor, sports equipment, electronics, costumes and so much more at prices up to 50-90% off retail!

Do I need a ticket to shop?

JBF is not your everyday shopping trip. It's your once-a-season chance to stock up on everything your growing kids need for the next six months. With so many families making the smart choice to save $$$ during the JBF sale, we use shopping passes to manage flow during each day of the event. What type of payment do you accept at the sale?

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, & PayPal. Consider paying with debit card or cash to avoid the credit card surcharge.

If using cash for payment, consider bringing exact change- change due may be rounded up or down to the nearest nickel.

What can I buy?

Shoppers stock up on everything their growing kids need at our twice-a-year events. Find great deals on children’s clothing, shoes, gear (strollers, car seats, swings, highchairs, bouncers - you name it!), kids furniture, indoor & outdoor toys, books, games, feeding & bathing items, bedding, room decor, sports equipment, costumes and so much more at prices up to 50%-90% below retail!

Pro-tip: Bring a wagon or rolling cart. We also have large shopping bags for your convenience while shopping. And don't forget to bring bags to take your purchase home.

Can I bring my kid's stuff to sell at this sale?

We have consignor registration open until 7 days prior to the event. If you are a first time seller with JBF, we recommend 4-8 weeks to prepare your items for the sale.

We are different from a storefront children's consignment store in that you get to price & tag your own items with our online system. JBF is the BEST way to turn kid clutter into cash - hundreds of shoppers see your items all at once (way better than selling one piece at a time)! And you earn 60% on your sold items.

Are children allowed at the event?

Yes! Children are welcome during the General Admission Sale days, Thursday–Sunday, and after 5PM on Wednesday. To help create the best shopping experience and maintain a safe environment during the busy Wednesday Presale from 3PM–5PM, we ask that children under age 12 attend only if they can be worn or safely restrained in a stroller or wagon.

To help protect consignors’ items and keep the event safe for everyone, children should remain with a supervising adult at all times.

We also ask that toys, books, and equipment remain unopened and that children do not ride on or climb merchandise. If you’d like to inspect an item more closely, our staff is always happy to assist.

Can I work at the sale?

We are hiring temporary, seasonal, part-time W-2 staff for our upcoming event. Apply here
