Here in the West Chester/Media // Wilmington/Newark areas, we help families solve one of the biggest challenges of raising kids: the constant cycle of outgrowing clothes, toys, and gear—often faster than budgets can keep up.
We’re Shannon McClure and Heidi Lambert—sisters-in-law, busy moms, and the local owners of Just Between Friends in the Delaware Valley. We host sales twice a year in both our territories, continuing a tradition that has served these communities for over 17 years. Since becoming owners in 2024, we’ve been proud to grow these events and expand the meaningful impact Just Between Friends has on local families—helping them save money, reduce waste, and connect with one another.
Shannon lives in Media with her husband and four children. After owning and operating another business for over 8 years, she was drawn to Just Between Friends as an added opportunity. She is passionate about helping parents save money, earn extra income, and feel supported through every stage of parenting by creating a community where families can shop smarter, help one another, and thrive together.
Heidi lives in West Chester with her husband and two children. After 12 years in corporate real estate and operations, she transitioned to work that more directly supports families and communities. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in social work while co-owning Just Between Friends, combining her professional experience with her passion for helping others.
Just Between Friends (JBF) helps families save money and simplify life by turning outgrown kids’ items into opportunities. As local event organizers, we bring our community together through pop-up consignment sales where parents can buy gently-used children’s clothing, toys, and gear at huge savings—and sell what they no longer need.
We are passionate about helping families stretch their budgets without sacrificing quality, while also reducing waste and supporting our local community.

We’re proud to support Phoenix Used Clothing, an organization supporting families in need in Northern Delaware and the surrounding area. Phoenix Used Clothing collects and distributes clothing and household goods to local residents. They also participate in clothing giveaways, food distribution and provide assistance to shelters and recovery programs.
Phoenix and JBF are aligned around a common goal of community betterment and sustainability. Phoenix partners with community leaders and other organizations to promote recycling of used clothing, diverting textiles from landfills and promoting a green planet for future generations.

Is it free to get in and open to the public?
Yes, we are open to the public. General admission is $3 on our public sale days, but you can get a free ticket online.

How often does this sale happen?
What kinds of items will be at the sale?
You’ll discover everything families need for kids from infancy through the teen years. That includes clothing and shoes in a wide range of sizes, with seasonal selections—lighter items in the spring/summer and warmer options in the fall/winter.
We also offer baby and parenting essentials like strollers, car seats, feeding supplies, diaper bags, and nursing items, along with toys, books, and room décor. Larger items such as cribs, rockers, and bookshelves are often available too. Because inventory comes from local families, every event is different—we like to think of each sale as a treasure hunt.
Prices are set by individual sellers, but most items are typically marked 50–90% below retail, making it a great way to save on high-quality items for your family.
Getting started can feel a little overwhelming, but we’ve built plenty of support into the process to make it manageable and even fun. As a seller, you’ll receive access to a free Just Between Friends tagging account where you’ll enter your items and print price tags.
We provide a detailed seller guide and step-by-step instructional videos covering everything from how to use the tagging system to what items are accepted, plus pricing tips to help you maximize your earnings. You’ll also have access to our first-time seller consignor coach, who’s available to answer questions along the way.
We strongly encourage you to join our Consignor Facebook group, where you can connect with experienced sellers, get feedback on your items, and stay up to date on important dates, deadlines, and helpful tagging tips. You’ll be supported every step of the way.
Sellers earn 60% of their total sales. In 2025, our average seller check was around $300, though many sellers earn more depending on the number and type of items they bring.
