Hi, I’m Melody.
I’m a wife, mom, and the owner of Just Between Friends Harford/Cecil County.
Like most parents, I’ve spent years buying clothes, toys, books, sports equipment, and all the other things kids seem to outgrow the second you bring them home. After seeing how much perfectly good stuff my own daughter outgrew, I fell in love with the idea behind JBF—helping families earn money on the things they no longer need while helping other families save.
Our family has also hosted more than 10 international high school exchange students over the years. Having so many teenagers come through our home has given me a unique perspective on just how fast kids grow and how different their needs can be at every stage. Between raising my daughter and helping care for exchange students, I’ve seen firsthand how quickly clothing sizes change, interests evolve, and families find themselves needing a whole new set of things seemingly overnight.
That’s one of the reasons I love JBF. It’s practical, it saves families money, and it keeps good items being used instead of sitting in closets, basements, and garages.
When I’m not planning a sale, you’ll usually find me answering consignor questions, organizing something, spending time with my husband and daughter, or helping one of our current or former exchange students navigate life in the United States or back in their home countries.
I believe families shouldn’t have to choose between giving their kids what they need and staying on budget, and I’m proud to help make that a little easier for families in our community.

JBF Harford County is proud to support
Ann’s Toy Closet is a volunteer-run outreach program at St. John's Lutheran Church that provides free toys, winter clothing, and household essentials to families in need throughout the Baltimore & Harford County communities.
Each year, the organization serves more than 225 families and 300 children through its annual holiday event and year-round support efforts. Families are invited to select gifts for their children in a welcoming, shop-like setting, while every child receives a new hat, scarf, and pair of gloves.
For more than 40 years, Ann’s Toy Closet has relied on the generosity of community donations and volunteers to help bring comfort, warmth, and joy to local families.
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Cecil County helps inspire a love of reading by providing free, age-appropriate books each month to children from birth through age 5. Through the generosity of donors and community partners, the program helps ensure local children have access to books in their homes, building early literacy skills and fostering a lifelong love of learning. Each month, enrolled children receive a high-quality book delivered directly to their mailbox at no cost to their family.
