My daughter Alyssa and I have been shopping the JBF sales since before my first grandson was born. I have know the previous owners for over 40 years and found myself asking them many questions about the operations of JBF and how JBF serves the community. I had enjoyed working the sales and being part of such a positive environment. When the opportunity rose to become the owners, we jumped in.
My husband, Mike and I are parents to three girls and grandparents to six. My retirement is a little different than most. Leaving a desk job of 30 years to become a business owner is both exciting and challenging. JBF would have greatly benefited us when the girls were young. I think that is the reason I find being part of the JBF family and helping the families in our community very rewarding.

In 2011, while I was pregnant with my son, I attended my first sale in the spring of 2011, and after that, I kept coming back. I initially joined as a team member just to get early access to the sale. After having my daughters, I continued to be a team member and started consigning my items. I’ve been involved ever since.
My family is my “why” because they are the driving force behind everything I do. They inspire me to work hard, make sacrifices, and prioritize both their needs and my time with them. They give me purpose, motivate me to keep moving forward, and provide the love and support that strengthens me in everything I do. My family is the foundation of my goals, and everything I work toward is for their happiness, well-being, and future.
