Meet Your Northwest Houston JBF Owner, Mariela!

Hi everyone! I’m Mariela, and alongside my husband Ray and our four children, we are thrilled to run the Northwest Houston Just Between Friends franchise. Having been together for 35 years, Ray and I know how fast kids grow—and how expensive it can be! With our daughter loving fashion and our three boys hunting for name-brand sportswear, our family relies on JBF to survive constant growth spurts. Shopping and selling with JBF is a total win-win that keeps our community sustainable and thriving.

Helping Klein ISD Students & Families Thrive

At Just Between Friends Northwest Houston, our mission is rooted in serving local families. That is why we are incredibly proud to partner with the Klein Kloset, a districtwide resource supported by the Klein ISD Education Foundation.

The Klein Kloset provides free clothing, shoes, hygiene items, and basic household essentials to students and families in crisis, poverty, or homelessness across every single Klein ISD campus. By removing basic barriers, they help boost student self-esteem, improve attendance, and ensure every child can thrive emotionally and academically.

When you shop or sell with us, you are directly supporting local kids! At the end of every Northwest Houston JBF sale, consignors can choose to donate their unsold items. We hand these items directly over to the Klein Kloset. [1]

SOS Summer Meal & Free Book Program

Feeding Tummies & Minds All Summer Long

At JBF Northwest Houston, we care deeply about our neighbors. When school lets out for the summer, thousands of local students lose access to free school breakfasts and lunches. That is why we are incredibly proud to partner with the Society of Samaritans (SOS)!

Through their wonderful Summer Snack Shack program, local families facing food insecurity can visit weekly to build a grocery sack packed with 7 days' worth of healthy meals and snacks for every child in their home. Alongside essential groceries, the program distributes free books to combat the "summer slide" and keep local kids excited about reading all summer long!

How Our JBF Community Helps

Our shoppers and sellers make this partnership possible! At the end of our sales, consignors can choose to donate their unsold items. We hand over books, educational gear, and children's supplies directly to the Society of Samaritans to help stock their pantry bins and bring joy to local kids.

Is it free to get in and open to the public?

Yes, we are open to the public. General admission is $3 on our public sale days, but you can get a free ticket online.

How can I shop early?

The Presale gives shoppers the opportunity to shop before we open to the public. Free presale tickets are given to our sellers, team members, expecting parents, and hometown heroes (teachers, first responders, adoptive/foster & military families). If you work or sell with us, you get to bring a guest with you to the presale!

Can I shop early even if i’m not one of those people mentioned above?

Yes! We have Platinum, Gold, and Prime Time tickets so that you can shop before we open to the public. Experienced JBF shoppers will tell you it’s 100% worth the ticket price to shop early, which means you get the best selection and the best deals!

How often does this sale happen?

The sale only happens 2-3 times a year. You can’t afford to miss it!

What kinds of items will be at the sale?

Anything for kids & baby! Clothing & shoes sizes newborn to teen and maternity. Baby gear (strollers, car seats, swings, highchairs, bouncers – you name it!), nursery furniture, indoor & outdoor toys, books, games, feeding & bathing items, bedding, room decor, sports equipment, electronics, costumes and so much more at prices up to 50-90% off retail!

Do I need a ticket to shop?

JBF is not your everyday shopping trip. It's your once-a-season chance to stock up on everything your growing kids need for the next six months. With so many families making the smart choice to save $$$ during the JBF sale, we use tickets to manage flow during each day of the event.
